Hey guys, I recently pulled my gauges out of the car the other week to clean them up, redo the reflectors, and install LEDs for the lights. I read VWAddicts FAQ on permanently installing the LEDs by soldering them in, but my gauge pod is not in that bad of condition, so I want to be able to install the LEDs with the twist caps like the original bulbs. I ordered some LEDs from the website cited in that thread but ended up ordering the wrong size (doh). Where can I get what I want? Does anyone make the correct size LED twist ins for our gauges? What about for all the other gauge lights?

Alright, I looked around the 944 and the Turbo forums and found a couple of answers that I might look into. What sort of LED bulbs has everyone else ordered? Most of the recommended ones were 6-9 forward facing LEDs as opposed to one large one. Is that what I should be looking for?

Hate to bump a topic, but does anyone else have any advice on this? All I'm looking for are either LEDs that will fit into the OEM twist bases, or a LED/Twist Base combo. The info I gleamed from previous topics led me to this site, but I want to be sure I'm ordering the correct LEDs before I lay out the cash for them.

My local store has wedge bases which I can probably solder some LEDs into, if anyone would be interested in trying that out? -I just noticed them last week; I think it was a recent shipment. -They have a couple of hundred of them...
Basically I could just do the same mod as I did to my dash, but just make it 'Plug-and-play'... It would be the entire twist-base, with the Diodes loaded into them, with series resistors etc. You just put 'em in the right way; -I can mark the top (or the bottom) with a dot or something...
Lemme knough...
