I saw them on a car in Performance Products magazine and now I saw them again. Anybody now who makes these?

Hey, that's my car. and it is indeed a VW. However, it's a 1998 Jetta, I have two sets of these wheels.

The first set are 16x9 and are a 2-piece construction. The second set are 17x9 and 17x10, also 2-piece construction.

I got the 16's off of a guy on the East coast that got them from a Porsche Tuner that was going out of business and had them just sitting on a shelf. The second set I tracked down in Australia. I've been trying to get as much info on them as I can over the last few years and I've only been able to find two other sets. One in England and one in Canada on a 944.

Here's a few pics of the 17's:

And the 16's, sorry, only have this one right now:

I'm not usually a fan of those wheels, but in a two piece they look amazing...

They sort of look like something on a modded Benz. I didn't think you could run much dish on a Golf?

I like them too and would be curious to know who made them. Porsche should have. Incidentally, if you look back at Excellence magazines from around 1990, there are advertisements for replica D90s in late and early offsets. Can't imagine that they sold well. I've certainly never seen a set.

With stock fenders there's isn't a chance I'd be able to run these, considering the rears weigh in at 17x10 with an ET of -19 before adapters, so with 15mm's the final et will be -34 and the fronts weigh in at 17x9 with an ET of -13 before adapters, so with 28mm's the final et will be -41.

Thankfully, I don't have stock fenders anymore. Those went away a long time ago.

You'll have to excuse the lack of grille and headlights, we were in the middle of changing a few things on the car at the time.
