Brake fluid on my floorboard
Since I bought my car a year ago, I've had to add brake fluid every 2-3 months. I've been noticing that my clutch is starting to act up and this last weekend I noticed that the carpet on the drivers side floor is soaked with brake fluid. I haven't had time to tear it apart or even get into it to take a good look. Anyone else have something like this happen to them. What am I looking at in terms of repairs. Any ideas about getting the brake fluid out of the carpet after I fix whatever is leaking?

Three Wheelin'
Your brake fluid is probably tired of stopping those massive wheels you put on, it's looking for a way out.
Clutch master cylinder would be my guess- pull the carpet back by the pedals and you'll probably see fluid draining down. I don't think it's too difficult to change, Clark's Garage probably has the procedure.

Very easy procedure to do it yourself (master cylinder change) just hard to reach some of the bolts and fittings, but it can be done with patience. I did it last week. When you do it do the slave cylinder as well or it will fail the next week (somehow when you do one the other fails soon after if not done two)

It's definitely the clutch master and I agree with mortymower that you should do the slave as well. I have a good procedure writeup with pics that I can dig up if you need it.

If it's not too much trouble, I'll take the writeup.
I may have to do this myself as my mechanic friend hasn't called me back in a couple days.
I don't think he wants me around his house anymore since my package is so much bigger than his.
I meant my wheel and tire package. What'd you think I meant????

I checked Clarks Garage before going through the hassle of loading the pics, etc up and there is a real nice write-up - good luck!

I recomend getting one of those magnet one a stick things, if you don't have one already. I dropped the bolts and they fell down beneath the brake booster a couple of times, and it would have been a complete PITA to get them without the magnet.
