TurboTommy, the "right" large wheels don't look bad on a 951. The body of a 951 looks more modern than that of a 944 n/a (non S2) due to its subtle changes, therefore complimenting a wider array of wheels. I'm not a big wheel fan, but I like the looks of these wheels. Kind of throws a twist on performance meets aesthetics (street meets track).

My ideal wheel/tire combo would be something that offers excellent weight to size. I don't want giant rocks on my spindles, but I don't want little buttons on either. I've always liked low profile tires, but never been a fan of the "rubber band" look. I guess I like the tween. Moderation.

As for look - the single reason I dislike the large wheel look is basic. Ride height.

I prefer a VERY LOW ride height. Stick a big tractor tire on it and you have to slam the **** out of it to make it work. These cars don't slam enough to make a huge wheel look good for me.

Get it 2.5" off the ground with 19s I might fall in love, until then I 'll pass

Just to reitterate that big wheels can look good on these cars. (IMHO, of course)

sorry dude - no way. Even with the goofy *** ground effect kit it is still too high

What kind of ride height do you like? Sparks flying off the back?

LOL SWEET!

That "example" of how good a large wheel combo can look is awfull: horible color combo, nasty add on ground effects... just a whole bunch of silly-*** garbage

that is a perfect canidate for 20s

These aren't BBS. Anyone know if Rial is a reputable company with light wheels?

And yes, they do look good. Would look fantastic on a black car, in 18's.
I am convinced that Rial has a older DOB than you aka they have been around a long time.

Please 2bridges, can you post more pictures of your polished Fuchs, pretty please!!

I think that orange car looks good, albeit a little over the top for my taste, but I'm probably a lot younger than you. I would never want my car to look like that, but whoever came up with it did an excellent job of making a 951 fit with contemporary trends. It would not look at all out of place at a D1 event ...you know the crowd.

I agree with Bill here. Disregarding the colour and kit, the proportion is what we're talking about. I think these still work with the rest of the car. That Red car with the multi spoke 19's also looks in proportion...I'm not talking about the 'Wire Wheel' car either. I think most of you know which one I mean. On the contrary, there are a lot of people who like the phone dials or other Porsche wheels that to me look too small so it's all opinion.

I don't really care for the wheels 19's are too big to be practial on a 951.
