I so want 295's. I love the wide tire look. Makes the car look like its ready to pounce.

They look fine. Get wider tires if you want, but remember that its better to have too narrow of a tire on too wide of a rim than too wide of a tire on too narrow of a rim. <-- many of us are guilty of the second

I'd LOVE to hear your reasoning behind that.

On lower profile tires it isn't such a big difference, but less sidewall movement in corners. Although, vw's stretch is just dumb.

If we were talking about something like QTP's or something else with a large sidewall, I'd be inclined to agree, but who runs a large sidewall on anything but drag tires anymore. Clearly VW's stupid VW stretch is a 25 or 30 sidewall.

Nowhere in this thread does it mention what the width of the rims are. We just know they're 19s. What's the tire, again; 275?
Maybe it just looks strange, 'cause the lip is sticking out with that wheel model

So they sold them to you with those as the tyre of choice in their package?? Like many things in life, this look is just a craze. I'd sell the tyres and get the right size. I am one who thinks that we can wear 19's on our cars. Some don't, but I think it fills the fenders really well. Nice choice.

If it was a taller sidewall, 275s is acceptable on 11" rims and looks more correct, and good tire support. Of course, in this situation, that would make this wheel/tire combo stupid tall.

Having said that, it is my opinion that excessively large wheels don't look right on the 951 body; something just doesn't seem right.
And performance wise; forget about it.
Sorry, have to say it.
