Default Tach Question

I am installing a EBC(Greddy e-01) to datalog Boost ,A/f(Innovate lc-1), and RPM, so that I can better dial in the SFR MAF. I installed the EBC and as the tach source I used the coil rather then DME. Tim reccommends for install on the Split Second FC, as this source was more stable. So I wanted to use the same source to data log. Anyway I noticed the readings on the EBC are approx 150 rpms less then the gauge cluster. Was wondering which one is more likely correct?? Where does the DME get its source?

Thanks,
Steve

I would assume it is from the speed sensor on the crank, I could not tell from the wiring diagrams.
