How do you like them? I heard that since they are uni directional and can't be rotated, that they lose the their shape, the flatness over time, is that true? I don't want bumps over time, the Hankooks have held their shape quite well...

ES1000 is a fine street tire. Have a good buddy with a stealth that swears by them.
Don't kid yourself for a second that they will perform anything like the hankook especially on the track. Will not hook and overheat if you look at them wrong

I don't know yet. I just put them on my S2 as well. They replaced the T1-S which was a very good tire. Excellant in the wet and dry traction is pretty good as well.

The Bridgestone S0-3 is being discontinued and the S0-2 is still available in most sizes.

Can anybody find the hankook RS212s? I really like them for auto-x and street driving and I was super pissed when I tried to buy them again... apparently I cannot get them in 225/50/16 and 245/45/16 anymore. I bought them a couple of times from discount direct.com and saved a bunch of $$$, I wish they carried that compound with my size still. Right now, I am looking on tirerack finding good tires is hard these days.

I am thinking of upgrading to the 17'' 993 cup wheels and leaving the 16s for race duty, since they make plenty of race tires for 225/50/16 and 245/45/16.

I love the Hankooks, never had a better tire, the guy I bought them from said that they are not available right now in the US, back order or something, I paid $400 cash for all 4 and they have lasted over a year and a half and I still have months left on them, apparently the rears have more wear than the fronts, guess it's from spinning them under the massive torque at 4K rpm...

Conti Sport Contact. Have them on my turbo S. Only ~700 miles on them, but so far so good.

Yoko makes some great tires, but not too sure the ES100 is good for much besides putting around town. For the money they are decent.

Continental Sport Contacts are Ok and come OE on a lot of cars, but I never see them get many miles on them before they are done. Also have a tendancy to chop badly, and since you can not rotate tires front to rear, this would be compunded.

As far as Hancook availability, I have 6 K105's left at my Charlotte warehouse in the 225/50/16 size, but the 245/45/16's are NLA from any of my vendors. Just thought I'd try and help anyone needed these.

I have had great luck with my Fuzion ZRi's. I know you said you are against them, but I have not been able to get them to come out from under me during very spirited driving. And for 380 delivered to the door it's hard to beat. Have not had them on the track, but would guess that after they get good and hot, they may get a little greasy. But all around very happy with them.

Fine for a street car. Price was nice too.

I have a set of these on my daily driver E39 530 BMW. I assume they were new when I got the car CPO a few years back. I have put about 42k on them and they are still good for more. The have some cupping (alternating high & low blocks) on the insides. They are 235/45 R17 size. I rotate about every 10-15k if that. Remember however my commute is nearly all highway with only a few gentle turns.

I run Kumho Victoracers on the street and while they wear pretty quick, I can still get 18-24 months out of them running about 5,000 miles a year. Works great

On the Tirerack, the Continentals got poor reviews and were very expensive, I'm not looking to spend much more than $500 for 4 tires...

I jsut put a set of BF G-force Sports on my car and love them. From what Ive felt/been told they are best bang for buck on hte market right now. I run 205/50/16 and 245/50/16. For $400 mounted front and rear they perform wonderfully. If you eat through tires then these you will love. VERY predictable, good turn in, stable, and in a strait line I cant spin the 330rwtq that I send to them when Im WOT.

The guys at discount tire (where our company gets all our tires) says that the g-force sports and the kumho ecsta spt's cant be beat for the money.

I didn't pay too much for them.

Like I said, I haven't driven mine much, but in the time I have on them the highway ride is smooth and quiet, and some on-ramp clover leaf work has been pretty fun without much complaint from the tires. They look good, have the "N" designation, fit the wheel correctly (not all 245/45-16's are built the same) and came with a free digital photo frame from Continental.
