Default 3.0 16v turbo - what clutch options

Hi folks, my engine build for the 944S2 cab turbo is progressing well, time to look at clutches, of course this being a S2 the well proven 951 options are not all available.

So I am looking at the Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch Organic, 1 1/ 32 in. Diameter Shaft, 23-Spline, 8.875 in Diameter Disc.

Acccording to the marketing blurb its stock feel, but up to 90% more torque handling....is this just hype or possible.

What else is out there, the key for me is no, none, zero , nada clutch judder, stock pedal feel and able to hold a gentle application of 500+ crank hp, street only, mature driver with occasional urges to lay rubber and go hard, but only occasionally....

Please let me know what you think are options?

ta

Mike, check the thread at the top of page re the KEP II issues. From what I remember Dan found a good source of clutch plate that might be about right for what you want.
Mature driver...hahahahah...

Patrick, I was talking to Paragon about KEP - they dont have 944S2 KEP pressure plates any level. I was looking for a matching PP and CP.

Yes I am mature most of the time......well at least some of the time

Are you at the garage tomorrow?

Spec make clutches for the S2.
I run a lightweight Stage 3 6 puck disc on my car. I've run the Stage 4 disc as well.

The Spec maintains the low pedal effort but is quicker in engagement compared to stock.
Kep requires more pedal effort (a lot I've heard no personal experience) but engages more like stock.

kep 2 is fine with me, and i'm weedy. it was a daily driver (not really anymore, but nothing to do with the kep lol).

so aside from the issues of them falling apart at the moment, i think the kep 2 is fine :P

PS fwiw, mine is 3 years going strong (fingers crossed).

Why not upgrade the a turbo flywheel, clutch and belhousing? The 225mm clutch has more perfomance options and holds more power.

too much work my EMS triggers are on the 60-2 flywheel.

I have options for S2, the centerforce or the Spec just have no knowledge of how they perform.
