I am only looking for components that could cause a poor idle and only a poor idle (assuming no problems off idle through the rest of the rpm band). Please add to my list if you think of something I have forgotten. Its getting late so if I missed something obvious forgive me
1. DME
2. TPS (idle contact)
3. ISV
4. engine vacuum <-------- affects entire rpm band but small leak may cause lean misfires idle
5. 55# injectors (at low duty cycle @ idle)

I was looking for components that only affect idle and not the entire rpm band (I edited the initial post to clarify engine vacuum and injectors as to why they would only affect idle). This would therefore eliminate valve timing, fpr, and maf from your list. Also I did state vacuum leaks (engine vacuum) and tps.
