For the cost of making fiberglass look "right", you might as well pay a skilled fabricator to craft it out of metal.... That's what I'm currently doing with my 95 Mercedes E320 Coupe.

I too have considered steel widebody. The "tinman" (a local body guy) could fab ub a nice widebody...... a shame the fiberglass are not precise enough to make a good template

Yep - always annoyed me that Mercedes never produced a 2-door version of the 500e.

I won't be installing the M119 V8 due t the wieght, though I managed to source a wonderful Turbo Technics full twin turbo kit from the UK - which will provide significantly higher HP & Torque figures.

The car should be ready for paint in a couple of weeks....
