what else will cause the isv not to work? i replaced the wiring harness as it was fraid and smashed with the lindsey racing one +all other harnesses, and a new isv unit , and my car still idles at about 500rpm when cold
on the plus side my car starts every time now since the ref sensor harness was shot, the car idles alot smoother too when warm, have not driven yet though.
should of posted this in the isv thread couple posts down sorry in advanced!

If they are anything like a BMW ICV they get oily and gum up, especially in cold weather. I have to clean mine every year and I have a catch can on the BMW. Take it off and clean it gently with solvent. The valve should freely move when powered.
