Default No Start, Clicking DME Relays Issue

Having a no start issue after upgrading the turbo and installing a MAF and 72lb injectors. Actually the car does start, but quickly dies.

One thing I have noticed while troubleshooting and checking voltages is that with the key in the ON position is that the DME relay clicks rapidly and stops and seems to be followed by the ISV clicking. Does anybody know what might be causing this?

The ISV gets power from the DME relay. Since the DME has two relays, check the voltage at pin 87 and 87b to see which one is chartering. The relay on 87 get the coil powered from the ignition switch after it goes through the alarm system. Relay 87b get powered from the DME if the relay 87 is closed.

replace the relay, it shouldn't chatter.

Have tried two known good working relays, both exhibit the same behaviour.

Brian, I will check the voltages at the pins. I assume that I am just looking for the voltage to spike and drop?

Yup, hope your DVM is quick enough to respond to the pulse. Might have to use a 12V lightbulb.

with it chattering you'll never get a good voltage reading.

known good as in were sitting around for who knows how long, or came out of a running vehicle.

I have used both on the car recently before making the upgrades.

then it's an electrical/voltage problem and i would start by looking at wiring diagrams for where power comes from.
