Default Turbo water temp sensor testing?

While I am in there... Fixing the oil leak in the turbo oil feed line, I have my intake off and the temp senor wire is exposed right as it goes into the potting compound. The wire is not bird-caged simply exposed. I am either going to repot it or toss it. I have another temp sensor in my spare Y pipe.

So is there a method to test these things? Stick em in boiling water and see if you get conductivity between the wire and the case?

I think I have a stock version, taller with a post on top and the other I believe to be after market version with a green wire sticking out the top.

Anyone know what the Napa version costs? Might just shotgun trouble shoot this.

NAPA part is ECHFS158, cost you a little under $50. It is a special order part so you will not find it on-line.

Got one from NAPA in two days. They just had to order it from the warehouse so I had to pre-pay.
