Non oiled filters was what some of the KQ 700's (Suzuki Quad) had motor issues with. I use an oiled foam filterin my KQ. Don't forget that my quad runs in very fine dirt in the desert and mountains of Arizona. We have to wear special face masks just to breath when it's dry and you aren't leading. This does not happen very often with me. LOL Our cars would never see this on the street.

I had a dry filter on my EVO with no issues.

The filter itself is very close to the road, hence the sock. The sock keeps the tar like crap off the filter media, & keeps it from getting soaked. That's what the problem with the K&N is. If it gets wet, the gauze that it's made of will get sucked into the engine while running.

Sounds like Florida sugar sand. It tears everything up.

They look really cheap, I'm sure they can't be that expensive, I've never seen one on a 951, I wonder how they compare to K&N...

i know thats why i want to try it. just about 90% on the 951's with a maf upgrade has a crushed K&N due to suction. And is see all of these tuners magazine with good hp and crazy turbos with those type of filters and not k&N filters

I have no choice. It's the only way it will fit the intake.

actually no because you can put it were the intercooler would go on a turbo if you have s2 or you can put it right in between the expansion tank and headlight...

It's not on a S2. It's on another German, non-Porsche vehicle.
