Default FSM Torque Spec Nomenclature

In the factory manual and technical spec book, many of the torque specs are listed as a big number plus a little number, such as (14 + 1) or (26 + 4).

I once read why they are listed like that, but can't remember. Anyone know?

In your example of 14+1 it means the minimum torque is 14nm. Going to 15nm is acceptable. Basically you can overtorque by the + amount and still be OK.
