That would be good. Just realize you won't see a true top speed - you'll run out of room. You'll still be pulling hard at the mile mark. Don't push it. The half mile to regain sanity goes by quick. The run-off at the end of the runway is very rough.

This sounds freakin sweet! I hope this post comes back up as the date nears and is announced. Would be willing to make the trek down there, and any of you GA boys that wanna caravan, I'm always up for it!

Hey I have a question about this.. Obviously I would need to comply with all the safety regulations, but would I really even be able to compete? Would I need some sort of license? Is there some sort of non competition "test" classification I can run under?

Of course. You're really only competing with the clock.

Nope. Just a regular driver's license. Necessary safety gear is listed on their website. Easy to comply.

I second that!! I always think it's a blast to caravan same make cars wherever...always fun to get the attention, and the presence it shows at an event is cool too!
