There's a lot of scattered articles posted on Rennlist but it would be nice to compile a more definitive list of published reference material for the 944 Turbo.
Here are a few to start in chronological order:
*Kevin Smith. "A tale of two turbos: Porsche 911 Turbo versus 944 Turbo S." Automobile Magazine. USA: June, 1988. Enjoyable comparo of both models, featuring test drives by Derek Bell and Bill Adam.
*Michael Cotton. Porsche 924, 944 & 968. MRP Publishing. Croydon, UK: 1990. Thorough guide on the 924/944/968 series. B&W photos with 2 chapters on the 951's development and race campaigning by Porsche.
*Nik Bruce. "944 Turbo Buying Guide." GT Purely Porsche. United Media, plc. Kent, UK: May, 2003. Great article on things to look for when buying a 951. Nice color photos of a red 951.
*Peter Morgan. "Friends reunited." 911 & Porsche World. CHP Publications. Surrey, UK: October, 2003. Peter Morgan refreshes his memory driving a lightly modded 951.

Not sure these fit with the actual articles but these were little blurbs from magazines I found and kept, I need to scan them...

That's the Big Valve Head from Euro Race (now European Motorworks in Hawthorne, CA) for the original 924. It was a popular upgrade for the 924 in the 80s which attempted to get around the flow restrictions designed into the head by Porsche. They squeeze 44mm intake and 37mm exhaust valves into the head, modify the ports, stiffer springs, better buckets, and install a custom cam.
I had European Motorworks make me one in 2005, used it in my rebuild with some of the Euro pistons for the 924 (higher compression). Really brought the car alive, huge improvement over stock.
Some flow numbers and pictures...
