Hmm, it looks like I found a source for some tinted and textured plastic sheets..
This is one of those times I wish I had a garage to work in.. because heat forming acrylics just isn't something I want to do in my apartment

First off, I agree 100% on what Shiners said. But...these ducts do look best after all the work. Period.
I only found one pic of my car when I had the smoked fogs on. I used VHT Night Shades found at Summit Racing. Same stuff that I used on the smoked turn signals on the Pearl car pictured.
Then finally the ducts. You can see there isn't any mounting rivets or bolts as seen on Tifos car. There are brackets fiberglassed into the back, def a pain to mount. But I think they look great. (don't mind the flat black front end)

This pic here just gave me an idea. Why even use brackets to hold these in? Since the fit is already so poor, it would almost seem easier and look better to just epoxy those things right in then smooth it out so it would seemlessly become part of the bumper...as if it's all one peice.

hrmm.. not so sure about the ducts anymore..
as far as the place I found for the plexiglass check these guys out..
http://www.solterplastics.com/plastics/textured/
one of those textures should fit the bill.. they look like a pretty small shop so i bet they can make it happen..
ohh, and does anyone happen to know what model bulb goes in our side markers? I am trying to order some colored (yellow and red) ones before I switch out the lenses next week..

Just up close I got a better idea for how well they blend with the rest of the car and they seem a little out of place.. they are almost "too smooth" in my opinion.. the 944 has a lot of hard well defined lines that don't lend themselves well to smooth non-aggressive curves.. well.. thats my opinion anyway..
They seem like something that is more fitting to the sleeker smoother designs of modern cars. I dunno.. its past 2:00 am so maybe I am just tired and thinking too much..

Here are some larger pics of my ducts (all I have on this laptop).
I used Allen bolts to mount mine to some brackets I fabbed. I was going to fiberglass the brackets to the back of the ducts like DDP's pics above but I had alignment issues, and I liked the idea of being able to remove the ducts by undoing the bolts in the front for any maintanence issues (plus I kinda like the exposed bolt look, but I'm kinda weird ).
