Default changing downpipe without removing intake?

I dont have the big heat shield on my can and i can reach 3 nuts except the bottom left. Does the intake have to come off to get that or can i get it from underneath? Id like to avoid having to pull the intake and finding new gaskets if possible. thanks

If you are referring to the actual downpipe that bolts to the turbo, then you actually need to remove the turbo (and intake first) to get it off. If you are referring to the catalytic converter (or test pipe) that attaches to the down pipe via that three bolt flange, then no, you can remove that without pulling the intake. Just need long extentions and u-jointed sockets.

The downpipe will require removal of the intake, no way around it.

The exhaust pipe from the downpipe can be removed from th ebottom.
