Is your car modded or stock? If so, what mods? I hate to ask this but are you sure you are unplugging the tps?
If the DME loses a reference signal it can cause the bucking and backfiring. Check to be sure that the shielded cable on the harness is not melting through in any places.

Well it drives just fine without it plugged in. Thats what leads me to believe that it is busted. That would cause my random fuel cut.
