Default Vitesse chips just installed, what FQS setting?

You can see my mods list in my sig (to include a 3bar FPR), which setting should I set the FQS at? TIA!

I know the chips for the MAF are set up like this but I dont know if the AFM chips are the same, if they are new though they should just be set to 0 where he intended them to be I think.

1= 5%more fuel
2= 5% less fuel
3= 10%less fuel
4= 0 fuel change with less timing
5= less timing and 5% less fuel
6= less timing and 5% more fuel
7= less timing and 10% more fuel

Like I said this is for the maf set up so it might or might not be the same

FQS 0 & 4: 0% Fuel
FQS 1 & 5: +5% Fuel
FQS 2 & 6: -5% Fuel.
FQS 3 & 7: +10%fuel
FQS 4,5,6 & 7: Retards timing (for low octane gas).

That is the set-up for the AFM chip. Out here in SoCal I only have access to 91 octane. Should I use #1?

I think 91-93 is fine, do you have an AFR gauge. Are these chips mapped for your mods in particiular

No AFR guage, and yes they are mapped for my specific setup. With his chips, I've heard AFRs are spot on, so should I use setting 0?

Yea I would just set it to 0 where he intended it to be, it wouldn't hurt to either get a wideband or go dyno and have them tell you AFR but his AFR's are usually near perfect

Yes, but it does not specify a specific setting to use, it just gives the specs for each setting. I'm not the smartest when it comes to this kind of stuff so I wanted another opinion before I reinstall my DME.

WARNING #1- NOT ALL FQS SETTINGS ARE THE SAME! !!!!! USE WHAT I SENT YOU !!!!!
WARNING #2- Even the same octane fuel (91oct or 93oct) has different characteristics based on the time of the year and the part of the country you live. This is why there is a Fuel Quality Swicth to give you some flexibility.

Darwin, I just replied to your email this morning.

Double check the FQS document I sent you. There is an error in the above!

Thanks John! I already installed it with the switch in Pos 0, I will drive it very carefully, paying attention to knock. If I hear or suspect anything I'll yank it out and switch it to 4. Thanks for the input and help John! You, too mortymower!
