If ever repairing door lock and you need
to dismantle and replace the mechanism that attaches to ball joint assembly REMOVE the rear door window rail!!, a major PITA if you dont....just my two cents

I did this once without removing the rail. It was a major PITA.
Tools used:
8" Long curved needle nose pliers.
Long flat tip screwdriver bent precisely to a specific curve using my best guess
Bloody knuckles and fingers.
I didn't adjust the ball part correctly so it is difficult to open the door. It takes a certain feel to opening it. That was 3 years ago and it's still this way. I have since considered this a security feature although my insurance company didn't quite buy into that.

I hate that stupid doorhandle plastic adjustable balljoint.
Mine broke, I replaced it and had to put it in and out about 4 times to get adjusted properly. I managed to do this without removing the frame rail.
Worked awesome for a couple weeks and its broken again. I haven't had the heart to try again yet so I open the passenger door and open the driver's door from the inside.
