Thumbs up Jet-Hot coated parts received...

Yeah, I know...no bling. Just dull grey looking parts...

After talking with another rennlister that ran into some probs with his Sterling coated headers and talking with Jet-Hot I decided to get their 2000 degree coating as this car will see some tracktime and I wanted it to last. Function > Form this time around...only colors offered are black, grey and blue.

The cost was under $400 for all of this including return shipping which I thought was pretty fair.

Last pic is a teaser of the assembled cam tower which is plenty blingy

Have a good weekend all-

Since you have it off, why don't you upgrade to the two piece crossover?

Didn't want to remove the stock heat shields? It makes finding cracks easier, should they develop down the line.

Lindsey sells basically a stock crossover pipe connected by a v-band clamp, seeing as it's the same pipe, would you still have to remove them? (I'd think they could stay in place).

P.S. I WANT YOUR CAM COVER!!!!!!!!!

Sam:

That cam tower is the color I was looking for when I painted mine. Could you send me the info on who you used? That looks GREAT!

X2....

The coating kind of makes it look like a clay molding of the parts

Yeah I would be interested in knowing as well. Are the parts of the cam tower done in jet hot as well or something else?

Also could you elaborate on what problems you heard about the sterling jet hot?

Jessie did the powder coating for him on the cam tower. It was like a 3 or 4 stage process.

when jesse gets back you might want to send your tower to him and have him sand blast it or what ever to take the paint off. Then have him powder coat it. From that point on you should not have any other issues.

By the way I looked at your car at 944 fest 05. Engine bay looks very nice.

looks great Sam. Sterling holds up on the street but not with track temps. Nice choice...did you get in touch with Todd at Jet Hot for your items?

Yeah that is the sexiest cam cover I've seen. How much for a job like that?
