Question Alternator won't go on

Help guys...got the water pipe issue for the LR Super 61 turbo re-worked. Removed the short section of tube and welded in a loger one, had it zinced and it looks great!! Clears the housing and is positioned perfectly between the intake and TB. Thanks for all the advice... but now, trying to get the rest of the parts on we find that we can't get the alternator in the right position. Those who are running the Super 61, how did you accomplish this?

It goes on the mount, but it's in the way of the turbo inlet. I'm trying to load some pics to show.

You have to start by cutting that grommet hump off the top of the and rerouting the cable out the side. Sometimes the coupler also needs to flex a bit for the pipe to clear the top of the alternator. My guess is your alternator will go down a bit too when you put the belt on a tension it.

...so you're routing the cable out the side of the grommet? How much will the Alt typicaly pull down once it's tensioned? and will the IC pipe actually go in the coupler once it's distorted? Tom, thanks for your input.
