"Kill Story": Bentley Continental GT [purely simulated o'course]
So, uh, in this simulator, I beat a Bentley Continental GT thru third gear yesterday while driving to work.
HOWEVER, this comes with a few qualifiers:
1) setup: we were both in the left-turn lanes at a red light, waiting to turn left. There are two turn lanes and I was on the outside (i.e. larger radius).
2) Driver was a woman (no offense to you ladies, of course!)
3) Car is obviously an automatic.
So here's what happened (in the simulator): I had been staring blatantly at her car so it was obvious I was interested. Light turns green and I take off, beating her around the corner easily. She didn't power brake and was timid around the corner, probably because she's never driven her car like that before...or at least was not aware of its potential.
So at this point, I hit the rev limiter b/c I was too distracted at my realization that I was easily beating her. As we came straight, I then got into second and found myself still ahead! Then third, and I was still ahead by about a car length.
At this point, I accidentally short-shifted into fourth but it was all over regardless -- she killed me with her 550 hp, 6.0L W12 pretty easily after that.
I let off and gave her a wave. It was awesome.
I am FULLY aware that in the hands of a capable driver, I would've had the **** kicked out of me, end of story. However, it was still neat and quite hilarious.
The only thing going for me was that my car didn't weight 5400 lbs...oh, and that I know how to launch. My car is stock.
Sorry to anyone here who might've been offended by this blatant disregard for the posted speed limit. FWIW, there were no other cars on the road. Er wait, this was simulated. right.

Ahaha yeah I never thought about it that way.
What I meant by that was that many cars have quirks, and for every car, you have to understand what engine is in it, transmission, startup procedure, etc. Otherwise, you can get a rude surprise that doesn't always end up well for the car. I've seen it happen.
Haha looking over that again I shouldn't have written it like that...that statement also makes valeting sound like quite the difficult job...which it isn't
Jesus now I look like a pompous ***** who's sole goal in parking cars is to drive the **** out of them!

Just for clarification, power braking is a verb, not a noun. With the brake depressed with your left foot, load the torque converter and when the light goes green, drop the hammer and let of the brake at the same time. Much faster launch for an auto. That said, a manual will most often outlaunch any auto...usually.
The GT shows a 0-60 mph time of just under 5 sec, so any of y'all with better cars than I should easily be able to kick its ***.

EDIT: Of course I would trade my 951 for a Bentley Continental GT in a heart beat.

Curb weight for the Bentley is 5400 lbs. And yes, i know that with a few simple (but not necessarily inexpensive) mods the car would've easily kicked the Bentley's ***. Easy.
And FWIW, I'd take the Bentley in a heartbeat, and then sell it. Then, with the $150k I just got back I'd buy a car I really wanted. And I wouldn't have sold the 951 at all, just made it waaay faster.
