Take it out and put in an MBC from Lindsey. Easier to install and probably costs less, plus you can control the boost.

note that removing this also removes the cripple mode/overboost/boost-pull knock protection !

can you explain how an ebc can provide boost-pull on knock detection? i don't know of a single ebc that can do this.

I could probably configure my setup to do this.. When there is a will, there is a way.
(I'm just not that concerned about pulling boost)

it wont pull boost on knock detection but it will pull boost if you spike.over boost. if your car is well tuned and you the proper fuel then you dont have to worry about that.

it is a fallacy to believe this. even the best tuned cars get knock. if you think your car doesn't, try installing a knock counter and you'll be shocked.

I agree. However a properly tuned engine shouldn't ever get any detrimental knock unless external factors come into play (bad fuel, overheating, ect.)

my belief is that the more failsafes, the better.

this is apparantly porsche's belief as well.
