Question for stroker guys
What is involved in using the 968 crank in a 951 application as far as the clutch is concerned? Does the 951 flywheel bolt up to the crank, and are there provisions for a pilot bearing in the 968 crank?
TIA

Other than the difference in stroke, the 2.5L and 3L cranks are similar. Yes you can use the 951 clutch parts on it.

Yes!
However the 968 electronics are different than the 951. So if you switch the flywheel and use the 951 starter ring, you need to switch to 951 electronics (unless you are doing a standalone..)

Thanks a bunch!

You also need the bellhousing and the rest of the clutch components. There are 2 required sensors on the 951 bellhousing! Don't forget to use the 951 starter.
I assume you are using the 951 torque tube, if so you are fine there.

Thanks John, 951 bellhousing has been lined up, going with an aluminum flywheel and a rebuilt G31 LSD transmission and torque tube.
The car will be running on standalone EFI so the electronics are not a worry, just as long as there is something I can use as a crankshaft sensor for my ignition. If I can't end up using the original sensors I'll go with a pulley mounted trigger wheel.
Thanks for the input!
