Default Aftermarket turbo / motor mount o-ring question

My aftermarket turbo - all I know is turbonetics to4 with a 2.75" inlet and a porsche exhaust side -has a rectangular flange on the bottom of the turbo but where it bolts to the motor mount has a round o-ring that i bigger then the flange on the turbo. This was on the car before I got it and as far as I know I havent lost any pieces.. does anyone know what goes there if anything and where I can get it

thanks

Usually a special paper or metal gasket is used with the o-ring.

sales@europartsetc.com was where I bought my adapter flange from, was about $40 including bolts. Its an aluminium flange about 3mm thick with an O ring groove cut into it one side that seals against the turbo flange and a flat face that seals against the mount O ring - works well.

thanks for the responses

ST, know where to get one of these gaskets?

Mike - Do I need to know anything more then I mentioned here to order that piece?

thanks

Mike

ps: I had the turbo mounted before and I noticed it seems like it sits too high, it does not allow the intake manifold to sit properly.. will that adapter flange make it even more of a problem?

thanks

Yeah. I used that paper gasket with the original o-ring that goes on the mount together. Worked fine for me, no leaks. You have a T04B housing if it's a 2.75 inlet.

You're probably hitting the bottom of the throttle body if the manifold won't sit. You can grind off a bit of the compressor housing and the bottom of the TB. Although, I didn't think T04B's had a problem hitting the IM (only the larger E housing).
