Help I cant boost over 10psi
like 2 days ago my EBC ground crapped out so i was boosted like 20psi, but i notice nothing that car kept running perfect. so i drove it around with the EBC off and just kept an eye on the boost gauge and i made sure i didn't floor it; i hit 17psi a few times no prob at all. Today i pulled out the radio rewired all of the 8 wires from the ebc and made new connections so i can take it off when ever i want. So my battery runs out and i hook it to a power pack start the car let it warm up. Went out for a test drive and my car doesn't boost more than 10psi. it just stays there not a psi more or a psi less every time. And the car is not ruff at all, its not backing firing, its not missing, its not stumbling, its running the ways it should and like the way it was running. The car feels almost toooo smooth. Please help
Thanks
Carlos C.
PS. I dont have a CAT and i dont have a CV

10psi sounds like an awful lot like running on just the WG spring...I would take a look at the EBC. I wonder if its possible something is fried / still not connected 100%.

the wastegate can hold 20+ psi. on one line it doesn't hold anything but on the other it will hold anything you give it. BTW i was driving my car to my gf's house and my clutch pedal stayed to the ground..

there is a preset spring in the wastegate that you can choose when you buy that is the minimum you can boost. Most common is .8 bar but they come in a wide range (all in bar unit). do you know which one you have

well i brought mine used. but i believe its .8bar... the funny thing is it was holding boost fine 2 days ago. Then i leave my in my garage. Fix the grounds and now it wont boost past 10psi

To me it seems you have two options:
1) Significant boost leak
2) Wastegate that is not receiving control from the EBC and is simply running on the spring
I would route the lines in such a way that the wastegate is kept closed at all times and see what happens. If you get no results from that, then you know you have a boost leak.
