Real race? Like a Drag? Street Drag is for hondas and dsms...you know, the champions of 1st-2nd-3rd gear. Those are the same people that apply the brakes at 90mph during a street race... just when you are closing the gap... and say "I won".

I say a fair race would start at about 80mph, and would take place on rt 80w from exit 64- 58... and of course, after midnight during the week

If that is the same gutted S4 that hangs out in Edgewater... its a fast car. Lets see how much the AWD helps after 100mph

if you're behind after 1-2-3 gear, i'd say you lost. just get over it. making excuses for poor off the line performance is for wimps.

Some people like to race at higher speeds. Porsches arent made for drag races... the 930, 928 S4, and 951 start life at 100. I am not saying you cant drag race them successfully... but some people find it boring and pointless to race from 0-75

I LOVE the S4 Audi's, that would be my ideal daily driver... VERY underrated are these high power Audi Turbo's in many circles.

hondas will get you at the top end, not off the line in 1-3. if anything, the 951 will be the one kicking **** off the line against a honda and be the one shutting down first. i'm talking real modified hondas, not just bolt ons.

Those little A4's are not joke out here. That said, I'll give that little **** a head start.
A real race is a $3,000 race

$1,000 if you beat me to 50mph
$1,000 if you beat me to 100mph
$1,000 if you beat me to 150mph

If he has another $1,000, I'll let him try to take me up to 180 or 190 depending on how big of a mouth he has.

I give them a head start and save the clutch. I usually left with $2,000 and always with $1,000
If the moron put up the extra $1,000, I always go that too except with this bad *** supra that I beat 50,100, and 150. Then I don't know what happened to that car but it came up to me at about 170 like I was on a Sunday Drive. We didn't bet on that race though. That was after I grew up a little.
Bigger problem was it turns relatively nice guys into asses when one guy doesn't want to part with the agreed cash he lost. Sometimes it got ugly.
Now, I'll still race but I don't get ****ty about it. Wanna run? Cool. After I win, I'm still cool and so is the loser. Both leaving with respect and faces intact, and no cops. Just my experiences.

how can you tell if someone beat you to speed? your gonna be in different places at different speeds. it only makes sense to race to a certain distance.

I know that very well... I remember street drag racing modified honda bubbles(this is before the K series swaps in the old bubbles... by the way ) with an E30 bmw. Mine had a LOT of work done to it, and no interior. And even then... I would pull off a lot in the beginning.

Closing on the end of the race, I would hear a honda pulling real hard at the end of third, just when my car ran out of steam. It usually went either way from there. It was for chump change... no big deal anyway. But I definately respect hondas. We make fun of the high school kids rocking civics with fart cans and cut springs.
