Anyone know how to test the integrity of the harness. Checking for breaks in wires, loss of continuity or bad connectors? Is there some type of electrical tester you can pick up at a Radio Shack or electronics store etc... Thanks for your insights as always.

 

Just take an Ohm meter and check resistance for consistancy......

 

you will need to know what terminal number at the DME/KLR you are testing. I should be able to get a pin ID sheet for you if you dont have one, just let me know the model/year etc....

Only way to do it is to unplug the connector you are testing, find the pin location at the DME/KLR connector, and test for continuity with a meter. best results would be to pull the harness through the firewall connector so your leads will reach better. will be a lot easier with a friend helping you.
