Default OIL LEAK, catch on fire?

after a good hour of searching under my engine i have discovered the source of my oil leak.

The AOS (Air oil seperator) seal.
& Rear main seal

it drips about once a minute after i stop driving & then slows and stops shortly after.

It does not drip on my cross over pipe, but when i at speed the oil sprays onto the crossover pipe.

I took my exhaust wrap off to avoid a fire.

When i finish driving after being on boost the cross over pipe smokes.

I got under the car & there was char residue on the pipe. I scrapped that off.

But my question is,

WILL A SLOW LEAK ONTO THE CROSS OVER PIPE CATCH FIRE ? ? ?

I am going to fix my seal, just not right away as it has been leaking the whole time i have owned it.

I also added a can of oil stop-leak.

but it didn't really work.

I have read about fires realted to oil, recently NIZE had one. so i know i am asking the wrong question, but i am wondering.

Default No worries..

Relax, mine has been leaking in the rear main seal as well and down by the side of the oil filler tube for almost a year now. I have the same symptoms you have, when I drive normal, it doesn't smoke, but then I gun it, it smokes on the passenger side under the body upon dripping over the crossmember. I am driving in over 90 degree weather daily and no fire yet. I use VR1 Racing oil and just check it everyday. They told me for them to fix it they would have to pull the engine out and blah blah blah, about $4,500 to fix (might as well do clutch and overhaul), not worth it, I'd rather check it daily and add oil, at $2.78 a quart, it's much cheaper, and some people have told me that the leak gets worse overtime, it's BS, it hasn't gotten any worse or even leaked more this last year it's been like that...

I USED to have that problem up until a day ago (Thanks TOOL!) Mine never caught on fire, but I always had a small fire extinguisher with me just in case.

I am planning on pulling my motor this winter & replacing the main seals & cleaning her while i'm in there.

I know you can replace the AOS seal & the oil pan gasket w/o removing the engine.

main seal is probably another story.

I do carry a small extinguiser with me at all times.

I carry a big watergun as a fire extinguisher, it's lighter, cheaper and doesn't leave anything dirty in the aftermath...

I have the same problem but mine does not leak after every drive, more like every 3 days it will leave a drop. It worried me for a while because I saw some of it reach the testpipe. The AOS seals are possible to replace with the engine in but it is VERY difficult. I too carry a extinguisher.
