Default Turbo temp switch?

I realized mine is broken and would like to replace it. Pelican says that the one for my 86 is a 930 part number but the one that is on it now is a 951 part number. Pelican has the 951 part number switch but has it listed for 87+ 951s. Either my car has been updated to the later style or pelican's system is out of whack. Which one should I get?

or

?

Did you try epoxying it back together?

Let me see what part number paragon lists... (I'm petty sure it is the 951 one)

I don't want to risk anything and its pretty easy to replace and I don't have to drain the cooling system just leave the expansion tank cap on but I'll probably change the coolant anyway.

Paragon doesn't have it but pelican will have it next week so more waiting. The thing with pelican is they have free shipping and it only takes 2 day since they're in norcal.

Oh, I didn't realize pelican was norcal... I'll have to remember that for all my small part orders.

Just curious, do you mean paragon doesn't have them in stock or doesn't sell them? Because I know it is listed on their website...

Never realized there were more than one version from Porsche. Lots of people get a shorter version sold available at local auto parts stores, to help fit bigger turbos. At any rate, PET shows the 930 part number for the 86 951.

Here is the link to the NAPA part that has a lower profile for the larger turbo setups.

Heh, figures. I asked the same question a month ago and I knew the part number, but told you the incorrect one. My bad.

I actually ended up hacking up my stock epoxyed one to get it to clear the intake, so I am going to be intersted to see if it still works.
