Default Anyone running a webcam P/N 05-122

I'm needing to pick up a cam box sooner or later and saw one on Ebay that has a Webcam Part Number 05-122 installed in it. Webcam's site says it can be used in the turbo application but I alway remember people using a #272 or #274 in 951s. Anyway I'm not in a huge hurry to get one just figured I'd ask on here if I got the bug to buy this one. The application will be on a stock motor w/ a VR Stg II setup. Thx!

any cam that is not to big for the standard valve chain will be fine on a modest 951 if you have a bigger hotside on your turbo just get the biggest one you can .
i just picked up a webcam not sure wich one . i recomend the 944 non turbo cam as it cost almost nothing and made my car go realy well . i suggest stop being fussy and jump on it .

I must take 100% opposite approach of gt37vgt. Without specs I would not put any cam in any car I own. Why would you, if you have no idea what you are running and no idea what you are installing.

mix matching parts you get a hold of can work out, but cam is absolute key to be matched with setup.

In my case the application would be a stock motor w/ a full VR stg II kit so not really mix and match. I guess a better way to ask the question is....is anyone running a webcam 05-122 with a VR ST II and are there any worth while gains by doing so.

sh944 iirc was planning on doing some before and after dyno testing of various cams a while back. Not sure if he ever got around to doing it. I need a cam box for the box more than the cam but figured if some performance gain could be squeezed out then I'd give this one a go.

Thanks for the comments!

Should shoot John VR an email. If he has experience with this cam he will be your best source for info

if a cam guru has deemed it suitable for the standard valve chain it is not at all drastic .And in a mild set up as this is it makes perfect sense heaps the web cam is not a mystery stick it is a proven piece of gear .
