Bought a couple new rides...

I'm still sourcing out gears for my 968 gearbox and I totaled my 96 750il. So I bought a new to me 2004 760li. Cosmos black on Black with color matched 22' Asanti AF116 wheels. Nine inches in the front and eleven in the rear. H&R springs make it sit just right and handle unbelievably well. Smoked tail lights. Damn thing has over 750 functions and they couldn't fit all the buttons on the dash so there's a computer monitor in the dash and a joystick/mouse on the arm rest. I have to read a manual for a couple hours just to learn how to drive the thing. There's a mini fridge in between the rear seats. Suede headliner. Automatic or manual with button shifts on the steering wheel and no clutch. 440 hp and 442tq. Soon to come; ACS front splitter and power upgrades to just over 500hp.
A few days earlier I bought a 2003 F350. Wow, I've never had a truck before and I'm in love with this thing! I searched for six months before I found it. It had to be a solid color, have leather, a sunroof, and backup sensors as I knew I'd need help parking the damn thing. Flew to AZ and drove it back. I don't worry about potholes, it'll pull anything I need it to, and I don't worry about getting it dirty with all the real estate projects I have going on. Never knew how handy a truck is. Now I know why many of you guys have one. Best thing is that I'm converting it to run on waste vegetable oil and after crunching the numbers, it will be completely paid for in just under six years.
Anyway, I posted here cause you guys are the only guys I talk to here.

Evil Beamer you got there Joe, nice one!!
What's up with the gearing too? Are you getting longer cogs made or customizing a 6 speed or both?

Very Nice DFASTEST. I've had my eye on a 7 series for a few months now as I need to replace the Benz soon. I had a 5 series rental a few weeks ago with all those entertainment gadgets and the technology packed into these cars is amazing. I was on the autobahn and a traffic jam was coming up and the GPS automatically gathered this info from somewhere and redirected me around it all and back out onto the autobahn at the end of the traffic jam. I was floored at just that experience. Hows your gas mileage?

Nice...Nice,
Has the Beemer got those butt massaging seats, I love those.
If you run the truck on waste vegetable oil is it going to smell like french fries?
Careful that you don't get old and prefer a luxury ride over the sports car ride.

Nice find there Joe! My favorite 7-series is still the late 90's model with M-parallel spoke wheels, but I am sure that one will be a nice replacement for the one that got totalled. I love my 951 but its still nice to slip into a nice sedan here and there.

My fiance and I bought a 2000 BMW 740IL for her to drive and she loves it. We took it on a 600 mile trip to PA and it was a very comfortable ride. Gorgeous 760il though! My boss has one thats dark blue.

Joe: Nice toys. The blacked out 7 series looks like Darth Vaders work car. I also love having a truck and won't ever be without one. There are just too many things to haul, tow or go 4x4 over to not have one. Mine is getting a little long in the tooth so I'm looking at the new Silverado's - possibly a diesel as they tow way more than my gas job will. Next time I'm in Vegas I'll be sure to look you up.

Dfastest,
If you are going to run bio diesel I would strongly suggest another fuel filter before the pump, run a 30 micron element to catch the big stuff before the final filter that protects the injectors. I used a Racor marine type that also has a translucent bowl on the bottom and drain for water.
Nice truck by the way, in fact all of your stuff is nice.

I really appreciate all the nice comments guys.
Patrick, if the beemer is evil, the payment is from Satan himself. As far as the gears go, I think I've found a little village that makes gears for all types of Porsche transmissions. I have close family out there and they went to this little tuner and they said it wouldn't be a problem and they do it all the time. I'm getting them the serial number so they make sure they have the right gears for it to make. Then, if I can get a deal on 5 or 10, I'll get them and get them to others here for hopefully a pretty good discount.
ittia, gas mileage is 23mph on the highway. 15-17 in the city. Pretty good for a V12
Mike, thanks for the props, I wasn't a fan either until I saw it in person. Good to meet up with you man. Let's keep in touch.
Duke...funny guy
lleroyb, Thanks for the tip. I'm actually going with either greasecar.com or frybrid.com. Who ever comes up with a system for the 6.0 liter Powerstroke first I guess. They advise filtering as low as 2 microns.
