I just called Autothority to ask a few questions about the Autothority chips I have which came with my racecar and they refuse to answer any questions about their chips unless a person can prove they bought it directly from them or one of their distributors. Hopefully you guys can help.
I have an '89 944 Turbo S.
The first chip is POR.01.951.303 DME, copyright 1995. Is this a stage I chip?
The second chip is POR.01.951.320.DME, copyright 1999. Stage II chip?
The third chip is POR.01.951.320. KLR. copyright 1999. I understand this to be the KLR chip and I assume it must be used in concert with a DME chip (?)
What does the OEM banjo bolt look like? I have two in my possession. The first has a little brass insert in it and the second one does not. Which is which?
Mucho Thanks!!

I can't help with the chips but the OEM banjo has no insert. If I remember correctly, the insert in the Autothority banjo is a brass jet similar to what is a fuel jet for a carburator.

Yes only use the KLR/DME combination with the same numbers and years. Looks like your car came with a good set. Mine were from 1990. Be aware that autothority chips run rich mid RPM and lean in the higher RPMs. These chips are more for street driven cars. You might want to take a peak at maxhpkit.com for a set of new good chips.
