Default Dyno Curve with Autothority chips MAF

I guess it is true, Autothority chips do go lean at high rpms, good thing I'll be putting in 951MAX chips next week, why is my power curve so flat? Can it be the stock wastegate or chips?

Actually according to this chart the AFR gets richer as the rpm go up, until about 4800 when they lean up a little. If this is a true AFR, it's too lean. This doesn't look like a typical dyno run because for one thing the correction factor is not SAE, and the smoothing number is cut off in this scan, but I would say it is 5 from the looks of it. As the dyno operator if he can pull RunFile_001.drf up and print it out for you with CF=SAE and smoothing=3.

Regards,
Russell

I'll see if he can do it for me, I thought it looked a little lean up there, I think I need some 951 MAX chips!

Just in case you might be thinking backward on this, AFR is Air to Fuel Ratio. So an AFR of 12:1 means 12 air, to 1 fuel. So an AFR of 14:1 is leaner than an AFR of 12:1. Higher number means leaner, just thought I would clarify that.

Russell

typical autothority fuel curve is bowl shaped with the mid range being rich and the top end lean, your curve doesn't look typical.

I know, it looks like a Vette or Mustang curve!

LFA951 I was wondering are you running a 2.5 or 3 bar fuel pressure regulator and do you have a piggyback of anykind. Does your idle surge at all. Are you replacing both the DME and KLR with max chips or just the DME. Finally are the max chips custom for your car or just a standard set.

Not sure what you mean by "typical curve"

1. Changing the smoothing will not change the curve
2. Changing to SAE will not change the curve , just the amount

I would ask him to produce the curve on one graph so you can see the TQ vs HP sae , for comparison sakes...

STD= 62 F
SAE= 68F
Few other almost insignificant weatherstation differences, fellas.
That's about it.

I have a 3 bar fpr, no piggyback, idle sometimes increases a little when driven hard, otherwise it always stays just under the 1,000 rpm line, 951 Max chips are both DME and KLR, they are custom chips to replace my Autothority MAF 30C chips...

Custom chips? Are you sending him information to make the chips or is he meeting with you at a dyno shop. How are the chips custom? Thinking if replacing my autothority chips after i get my wideband o2.

The only 'off-the-shelf' turbo chips I have is the new DME I Booster chip. All DME III chips are custom or semi-custom. Right now there's over 100 variations of my turbo chips. I map the chips based on the information provided by the customer as far as their modifications go. So just about everyone who purchases the DME III gets a custom chip.

Russell

Sounds very interesting. Now is that both DME and KlR since you can't use max dme with autothority KLR. I have an autothority MAF and my idle surges. I am getting a wideband but i was looking for options to getting a piggyback. What information do you need for a custom chip.
