Happy birthday Tool...good luck to both you and TMS for the race, I hope for a safe and fun time for everyone involved (hopefully no broken parts)!

Happy B Day Tool. You almost hit your goal of 600 RWHP. You'll get it in due time Grandpa. See ya soon.

Pretty lame. You won't even break into the 12s with that rag.

PS- Happy Birthday. Now I will do all my parts counter ordering through you since Porsche gives a 15% discount to seniors.

Hey Happy B-day for this side of earth..

Hey, are you still running the stock con.rods? I quess not!

I know that I will be facing the same problem in my 3.0 16 valve setup. I am planning to control the low torque with electronical boost control, so the boost increases with rpm. Are you controlling it now with ignition or is it just bigger turbo what will spool up a little higher and will escalate to redline?

that should be a bigger problem in 8 valve setup witch make more torque @ low end but will see! Great numbers dude!

Markus

HAHA - yeah - you will notice in my last setup that the cylinder head lifted also!
It was TOO MUCH torque too early in the revs, the result of a few different circumstances.
This chart has been MY DREAM powerband - the HP continues to escalate to redline - this is an honest powerband. Look around to see if you find many 2 valve heads with powerband like this.
I really could not be happier with it now, it is much faster than it ever has been.

The 95 degree heat slows spool a little too, which lowers the torque here

The best gifts are the ones you get yourself!

Is that about half a MW?

Markus - this big turbo will get an "adjustment" soon.
The boost does not creep, it stays rock solid.
It hits 2 bar at 4500 in 4th - its later on the dyno and ESPECIALLY at 95 degrees and 101% humidity like yesterday.
When I say it was hot, I am not kidding.

Yeah - that's why I went yesterday.

Maybe more than half.

Happy Birthday Jim!
Those were some serious numbers considering the weather!
What AFR's were you running that day? See you at the Fest!

Now THAT's a large turbine (among other high rpm stuff)
That's some sweet numbers, glad to see you did what was necessary for the big numbers without tooo much special fuel.

Time for solid's, dry sump and 8000 rpm?!
