How hard is this to do? I am considering going to a stage 3 but of course like EVERY damn time on this car I go to make some major mod, I am under a time crunch. I have a DE the last weekend of the month and I am wondering if this is an install that could present any troubles?

So all ya'all out there that have done this if ya could share your experiences with getting this turbo in and running? What mods did you have to do?

It took me a while to get it to mount up on the oil drain flange. It seems that a bolt that holds the compressor housing was in the way and making contact with the mount. I should have saved myself a lot of aggravation and just removed the offending bolt. Other than the standard waterpipe adaption, it was pretty straight forward. You can do it (turbo only) in about 5 hours.

try to have someone help you because you have to balance the turbo and start the bolts, making it hard to hold the gaskets in place

It's time consuming but not hard. For a first timer, allow yourself the weekend. The turbos we sell now come with a smaller bolt to clear the motor mount, we also include a custom metric adapter for the water pipe. A list of instructions/hints which we collected based on customers input is included as well. The turbo bolts directly to the exhaust and motor mount.

Of course having a friend assisting you is always good, but not needed.

We have the metric adapter custom made for us. We just make enough for the turbos we sell, we are looking into producing them to sell, but we are not there yet.

Ok.. I got one of your earlier kits without the adapter. I just picked up a brand new water neck with temp sensor to replace the broken one and I was hoping to get a hold on one of those adapters

blods - I didn't use the adapter in my kit, I went a different route with the coolant pipe. PM me if you want it.

I extended the stock fitting as follows: I cut off pipe between the banjo and temp sensor mount; I drilled out the banjo and temp sensor mount to accept 1/2 inch pipe; I cut and bent a 1/2 inch diameter section of hydraulic line to clear the compressor housing; silver brazed this new pipe between the banjo fitting and temp sensor fitting. Certainly not plug and play, but not bad if you are equipped and able to do some controlled cutting, drilling, and brazing.
