Sunoco has a small problem with their 100 octane. No one buys it, except for a select few. From the time the truck fills up the gas station's reserve, to when you run it in your tank, could be up to 3-6 months, allowing it to degrade to less. I still felt a difference though. In my street racing days, I used to empty the gas tank of my car in the shop, and run 3-4 gallons of pure 100 octane, just enough to get me to the "spot", run a few times and drive back. How much is it these days? It was about $4 a gallon, and that was before the wild increase in gas prices.

I can see that being an issue. There is no problem with 93 though. I buy my 100 from one of the very few outlets. It gets lots of customers, so I don't run into that issue. It always cracks me up when I see people out buying xylene/tuolene, when per gallon race gas is significantly cheaper...and then they only pour in a gallon or two and claim that they can "feel" the difference. lol

It all moves thru the same pipe line. Colonial Pipe comes right thru Knoxville.It's the same product. There was a show on Modern Marvels last year about the gasoline supply. They used to 'ship' thru the lines with 'pig ' spacers to seperate from different suppliers. Now if Exxon puts 100,000 gallons in the pipe in Texas, they can get 100,000 gallons out the other end no matter where that may be the same day. They 'ship' gas and diesel together this way. The weird mixture between gets seperated and sold for kiln fuel.
Last year when gas prices were 1st going over $3, many people were going to regular to save money. Porsche had a press release stating that you could run any of their cars on regular; just don't do any quick driving.

i've had the 951 for two + years now, starts good/runs good/good power/no pinging, what's not to love.
the 951 replaced an 87944S that also ran well on 87.
