Default Porsche Specific Hose?

Ok, here goes nothing...

Car was spraying coolant all over the garage today Stupid car! I found the hose that is the culprit. It is at the back of the engine comparment. One side attatches to the firewall? And the other side attatches to the thing by the head where the two vacume lines are connected. I really had no idea there was even a coolant hose back there. Is this a porsche specific hose or can I just take it to an autopart store and have them give me one around the same size? Thanks

Jeff

The hose itself isn't anything special, its just a matter of finding one that would fit the shape of that one. I'd pull whats left of the old one off and go down to the autozone/whatever and see if they have anything that looks like it'd work.

I hate waiting for shipping as well. Soo damn annoying when its only $20 of parts but you have to wait a week.

Those darn heater hoses, I deleted them with the metal line by the exhaust headers a long time ago, better circulation and less heat for the headers...

I had the same hose pop on my car years back. I just went across the street to the parts store and matched one up. Damn coolant hoses!

There are at least a couple of Porsche shops in the area that probably carry the hose in stock, along with a lot of stuff you won't be able match-up at the local NAPA. Might want to find out who's around and who is or isn't a fan of the '44.
