Default Intercooler upgrade

Hello everyone I have been reading for a while but have just joined.

I have a modified 951 and I am looking to upgrade my intercooler. Does anyone have experience of the Lindsey Racing stage 2/5 or Speed Force Racing intercoolers?

Welcome aboard!

I had mine done a few months back and found out that if you are running a stock turbo, the oil fouling will have a greater affect on cooling than a stage II. Put about 1.5 gallons Prem in it overnight, sloshing it frequently, you'll be amazed at what comes out.

So your saying cleaning out an intercooler will scare ya? What is Perm by the way? This makes sense as my turbo is now starting to cause smoke under hard boost. I thought it was blow by but the catch can only gets a tiny little bit of oil.

Hummmmmmmmmmm the things that make ya go Hummmmmmmmmmm

yeh then once you've done that set up your crank breather different so it doesn't happen again. so did you compare air temps befor and afer as i don't think oil is that good an insulator . but certainly ly less thurmoconductive than aluminium i think pre intercooler water injection is the most costeffective intercooler upgrade. i've got a home made stage 1 typ set up it seems ok but i just had a guy mod it for 100$
