Default 2.7l Head

Hello everybody

I have the occasion to buy a 944 2.7 liters (in France)
How I can verify if the head is really a 2.7L (Just with photos )
(I have photos but I cannot put a link)

Have you any photos of 2.7L motor ?

Thank you very much

Punchy

Thans "special tool"

Yes I now the oval port but the bloc is not "open", it's in the car.

(And the car is far from my home, I have just some photos)

In my memory the Intake manifold was diferente (944L and 944 2.7L)

Any photos of the Intake manifold ?

Tanks "special tool" for the picture

For the year, the vendor said me 86 but it's not possible, 89 I tink.
I can see the plug for "ABS"
180000 Km / 111000 Miles

The car have a shock on the front and the end, the car is sold for parts

Ask for the VIN.

The water passage at the front of the head where the top radiator hose goes into the head:
2.5L: water passage sits back from the front edge of the motor about 1 inch
2.7L: water passage is flush with the front edge of the motor
Cannot tell from the pictures but if you can look at the motor in person, look for that.

From the picture, the water reservoir is from '89 as '88 still had the old style but I don't know for certain that late '88s did not come with the new style also.

Also the cap on the air filter housing where in '89 they got rid of that stupid hose that went to the belt covers.
