Default My 1/4 mile runs...

First off, i have APE chips, stage 2 maybe??? 86 model, not sure about the turbo (most likely 26/6), no cat, 3 shims on wastegate, car pulls hard.

***trap speeds now included***

First run.... i sucked at the launching. i am ashamed.

R/t .59
60' 2.713
330' 6.879
660' 10.058
77.90 mph
1000' 12.718
1/4 14.991
99.54mph

Second run was better, had a waaaay better launch.

R/T .828
60' .2413
330' 6.253
660' 9.362
78.93mph
1000' 11.990
1/4 14.237
100..47

http://www.youtube.com/v/QQQQUSeF9S8 is my little video for the second run

So my booklet for my car says i should be running 14.2 stock. well hey guess what, im not stock and its running that... maybe i need to work on my launching... or just not drag.

your prob i sin the first 60' if you got that down to a 1.5 or 1.8 it would be that much time off in the end. sound like tires and suspention for drag racing.

no i dont think its pro but a drive that can launch the car hard and the car respond. usuall wiht stock tires and suspention a decently powerd car will not hook up on street tires. this i have found results in poor 60 ft times. get the car to launch hard and the car turns a better time overall. very few races are won in the last 60ft, the fisrst 60 i think counts more.

A street-tired, IRS, RWD car will not pull 1.5 60', period. Even the AWD guys only pull 1.6-1.8 60' with a decent launch...
I'm happy with 2.0 in a 951.

i think its funny that some of them awd guys ran slower than me ;-)

It is true though that you gotta go as fast as you can in the beginning, its all about getting into that sweet sweet power band...

oh well, i still enjoy carving canyons... not a whole lot of the cars at the drag strip can do that very well.

yeah solid axle's work wonders. My buddies stang pulls 1.39 60's.

If you are trapping 100mph thats atleast pretty decent. How close to sea level are you. I trapped 100mph with LBE and 13psi on a otherwise stock car.

You would be deep into the 13's if you could cut a better 60. You can it just takes practice. I was cutting 2.0's and 2.1 on old ****ty street tires.

I am damn near sea level, my guess is that the track is at about 24 ft from sea level.

I wonder... i was just thinking, the "modified banjo bolt" that many people talk about... i beleive i replaced it with a stock one... but im not sure. I replaced the one on the intercooler pipe... something tells me that might be the modified one... i havent noticed a difference though... hrmmm...
