ok so they are unhooked from the bat and the little wires are unhooked from the main pos wire, but how do i push them through the firewall with that gromet there. I tried to pry it out and almost punctured it. do i have to unhook the cables from the bat post connectors????

I was replacing my cables so I just cut the wires near the grommet and pulled them out, otherwise you'll need to disconnect them at the starter and pull/fish them up and out thru the grommet. A little lube on the grommet made fishing the new wires thru easy.

what about the negative, how many places does it connect to i unhooked the one on the wall in the bat box and i see the other one going toward the belhousing but does it split anymore

you can pull the whole grommet out with the cables still attached if thats what your asking. otherwise you need to disnonnect the ground from the bell housing and the hot from the starter.

You can pop the grommet out, or else Silicone is your friend.
