Default Can this head be fix?

Bough a car that the owner messed the head by drilling a bolt in the wrong angle by the water port, it is such a pitty since the ceramic on the exhaust ports is in great shape so are the valves and springs.

Looks like it would be usable as is to me. Obviously not perfect. If worth the expense - it could be welded and redrilled. No idea of cost

Any shop that can repair a chevy head should be able to fill and drill that cheaply and with no drama. To be honest, I think that head is useable as is, I thinking you will get enough clamping force to seal it witrhout fear of leaking.

I bet it's fine as is too, but could definitely be welded and re-drilled if necessary. Heck, Lindsey and others change that whole port when converting over to a 3 liter block. If they can do that, they can certainly fix a little hole.

How many miles are on that head? Any idea of what you would want for it?

Did you see if Derek is still needing a head. 50 bucks is cheap.

THat's a pretty easy fix for any head shop that can use a mig. Should be less then $100 to weld and mill.
