Drag racing is not my style since it depends on launch, clutch etc....and not to mention the possibility of breaking things....

I'd rather see a pull than a drag, say 62mph/100kpr to 120-140mph/200-240kpr.

Not my style either, I built my car for the track not the strip, but it is a good measure of accelerative performance and it has independant official timing. Also many people can come out to hang out ad watch, hopefuly other people will run thier cars. Despite how simple it sounds, it can be difficult to do it well and it is fun.

How the heck do you guys hook up with that much power? Seems like you would just spin the tires and not get any good times.

Drag racing is fine.
We definitely don't want to give new Rennlisters the idea that REAL Porsche guys think that they are "above" drag racing. That would be arrogance.

Mike - no way in hell I am putting slicks on my car to 1/4 mile NO WAY!

TMS - I didn't realize it was the 4th.
Let's do 1 week after.
I am already doing too much stuiff this month and my wife is pissed - as I have mentioned in other threads.

That's the fun of it.
We both have VERY stiff suspensions, too!! No weight transfer!!!

Would be good to beat them in ruler racing and then go out there on the open road and go really fast as well.. Right?
