Default coolant hose help

The threaded "nipple" that connects the water tank to radiator hose broke off in the radiator. I can see where it goes using a mirror and I found the part on Pelican(as well as a new fiber washer). Can you folks steer me in the right direction with procedure or any tricks to do the replacement?
Thanks

some folks claim it's easy to do from the top but i couldn't and took the rad out to replace the 3 bl fans/shroud with the 6 bl setup and changed it out then.

for what it's worth..the car is a Turbo with NA nose(purchased that way)....maybe that's why the threaded nipple broke....seems like a hose would blow before this would.
