I got a snap on dial version a while back -- light goes off when you hit your torque. It's my favorite inanimate object. Garrity used to have a collection of them...

call an aircraft maintenance outfit and find out where they send stuff for annual calibration.

How's that work? Do you have to watch the digital readout as you're applying torque?

Yes, like a dial indicator -- you set it to the desired torque and when the needle gets there it turns on a little light so you know you are there. Or, you can just watch the dial.

I hope the handle on it is better than the plastic one on the standard version. Put that one away in a closet only to come get it later and find the handle had disintegrated in a million pieces. No lifetime warranty on those, either. I'm sure these have a better warranty, though.

I'm sticking with HAZET.

My new Craftsman torque wrench handle is great. Its a small unit. My big one is older than some of the people who post here
