Default Went to the dyno (LR Super48 turbo@16psi)

My goal
Driveable car with 300 whp. With driveable I mean also torque below 4000 rpm!

My setup
Stock 2.5 liter
65 lbhr Delphi injectors
951Max MAF chips
Kokeln Hard pipe kit
LR Super48 Turbo
LR 3" exhaust
LR MAF (stageII)
Reliaboost controller
LR Dual port wastegate

The run was done in 3th gear @ 16psi boost. The hp losses seem low to me. The whp was measured and should be accurate!
NOTE: TORQUE IS IN NM! (444Nm = 327lbft).

I still have 7 whp to go to reach my goal ;-), but turning up the boost for gaining 7 hp...

The car drives very smooth and feels very quick. For me no need for 400 whp

Is third gear the gear to do a dyno run in? I have always done mine in fourth gear. Have I been doing it wrong?

Nice Frank, I just looked over the data log of the pull, I really like the flat AFR from 4K to 7K. Now is that log from the actual dyno run or a run you did on 'a closed circuit/or track'?

Normally I do my runs in fourth, but the guy from the dyno shop preffered to do it in third. For measuring the losses they go to top speed (from the gear you do the run in) in and let it slow down on its own. Top speed in fourth gear would have been much stress for their dyno.

In fourth gear I would have had the maximum torque sooner because of the quicker spoolup.

Nope! they could have, but I use a Zeitronix to do my own logging. I will post a graph of the log.

Thanks! I have been pretty interested in this turbo, it seems to be the perfect size (for the project I have not gotten around to starting on.)

That's pretty good for 16psi. You bump that to 17, you'll easily surpass your goal. Nice climb on the torque and hp.

this is good info!

does the zeitronix not display the x/y axis values? it's hard to tell what rpm/psi/afr is happening where!

also, are you using the stock wastegate?

A little lean, I would like a little more fuel, IMO.

Nize, the zeitronix software displays values on the right side as you place the curser over the area of interest.
